Translation Notes: I don't know why, but characters in AO talk a lot more than they do in New Order. It's always so technical and full of jargon that it takes me double the time to translate here compared to a chapter in the latter, and this one even has furigana!

In other news, it looks like Renton's thigh fetish manifested itself in Ao's genes. He gets lots of bishounen expressions this time around too *cough*NarcissictAo*cough*.

So far so good; things are proceeding more or less the way they do in the anime, with a few differences here and there, though they're minimal. For one thing, Truth makes contact here earlier than he does in the series, where he actively invades the Generation Bleu building in Switzerland. As such, there's not really too much to dissect in terms of new material. I keep finding Katou's art interesting though; one minute Ao is drawn very nicely (so much so that I'm pretty sure he categorizes as bishounen) and the next not so much. I have to wonder, how much does he enjoy drawing this? It must be fun drawing all those mecha battles and unseemly thighs on prepubescent boys...

I'm looking forward to next chapter, which is the dream sequence and Eureka Seven trademark trippy (as well as about half the length). It's also the end of the volume, so we'll be moving on to vol 3 soon enough. Please enjoy the chapter, I'll try to make more time for more frequent releases from now on.
