Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo - 12

"The Power of Love in the Cultural Festival"

Conventions, conventions everywhere! Or as my sister likes to say, "mucho queso!" ("Too much cheese!")

Shinsekai Yori - 13

"Reunion"

Mamoru's never had much luck on his side, and now the sand in his hourglass is running out.

RRV: Kōkyōshihen Eureka Seven 4-8

This is where normal people say that this is their least favorite portion of an anime they enjoy. This is where I say this is the portion I'm slightly less fond of than the rest, but I refuse to skip it after 30 odd viewings anyway.

Psycho-Pass - 11

"Saint's Supper"

I have little to say about this one, except damn.

Zetsuen no Tempest - 12

"Absent Thee from Felicity Awhile"

Now I can add fighting trees to my "strange things I'll likely only find in anime" list.

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo - 11

"Galactic Cat Nyaboron"

The unavoidable Cultural Festival has arrived, along with the usual gimmicks and relationship issues, not to mention some letdowns in the cat-suit department.

Shinsekai Yori - 12

"Weak Link"

For an episode that counts as the calm before the storm, this was a disturbing and powerful experience.

RRV: Toradora 1-4

It's a mark of how much I like this series that I'm blogging it right next to my all-time favorite, Eureka Seven.

General Impressions: Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo

For every dark or serious series you need a lighthearted counterpart. What's even better is a lighthearted counterpart with its own potential for being more than just pure fun.

Zetsuen no Tempest - 11

"Girl of Time"

Somehow I always thought I'd write more notes when blogging Psycho-Pass, but this episode proved me completely wrong at double the amount.

Psycho-Pass - 10

"Methusela's Game"

Thank goodness for the end of finals. Today's Psycho-Pass was a good treat for a tired student looking forward to Winter Break, though Ginoza always seems to get under my skin somewhat.

General Impressions: Psycho-Pass, Shinsekai Yori, and Zetsuen no Tempest

Before I pick up episodic coverage on these series, I'd like to give a quick review on my general thoughts for each thus far.

RRV: Kōkyōshihen Eureka Seven 1-3

"Blue Monday," "Blue Sky Fish," and "Motion Blue"

There's something about the "Blue Trilogy" that never gets old no matter how many times I've seen it. The feeling of embarking upon a new adventure is exactly why I chose the Trilogy as the subject for my first post.
