Kōkyōshihen Eureka Seven: New Order - 8

That was not easy, what with the revelation that college just got thesis-scary. Many thanks to Efter for all her hard work with the cleaning and editing!

Download Link: Volume 2 Chapter 8

Translator Notes: There were a couple of phrases I struggled with, particularly on page 24. The original Japanese said something along the lines of "insane retaliation, but we'll eat it", which I couldn't make much sense of, so I did my best. In any case, I hope you'll enjoy the chapter, other than that line, everything is business as usual.

*Please don't upload this chapter to a reader, I'll do it myself when I've finished the entire volume! Thanks for understanding!

[Spoilers Beyond This Point!]

If there's something I can't stand in translation, it's jargon. Unfortunately it looks like plenty of this volume is coated in the stuff, so it can't be helped. Thankfully, the material is still as good as ever; I have to say I am a little tired of the "if you're a man, go save your woman" tidbits, but seeing as this is Eureka Seven, I can live, and I still love the manga and the original story to bits. I don't have a whole lot of analysis this time around, mostly because I'm tired and it's a school night, but I did want to point out that Anemone's asphyxiation was pretty interesting; I'd never seen her react that extremely and hopelessly to the cruelties of her situation.

    1. It's no problem Paulo, I'm so sorry it's taking so long though; I wish I had the time and energy to work on a much faster basis, but as that isn't the case, it just makes me happy to see people enjoy the releases when they do come out. Thank you so much, I wish you luck as well with school and everything else. ^-^

    1. De nada, gracias por ayudar tanto ^^

I think we're good on versions xD As to the doubt, I just wasn't sure why they were using the verb for eating, if it was a saying or something. I think I got the context more or less okay, but I was really curious what it meant.

Thanks for fixing the double pages. D:

  4. Whooppie!!!!!! This is gonna be a fun read. Does anyone know if there's a manga version of eureka seven cause I wouldn't mind buying it just to have it. I could google it and find out in ten seconds but I'm somewhat lazy right now. Please no replies criticizing me being lazy, a yes or no will suffice

    1. There is a manga version, it was based on the anime and written by the Deadman Wonderland mangakas Kozue Kondo and Jinsei Kataoka.

You can buy the manga in six separate volumes or as two omnibuses, like on Amazon:

      http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=eureka%20seven%20manga&sprefix=eureka+seven+ma%2Caps&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aeureka%20seven%20manga

I recommend it, it diverges heavily from the original anime, as do the novels (which are currently really hard to get for anywhere near a decent price). I hope that helps~

  7. Do you know if this book or any of the other new releases, like ao, will be published officially in english?

    1. It's very unlikely that they will be published; the novel for the film was never published, after all, and I don't think the manga for AO and New Order sold all that much in Japan.

    1. Hi Anon! I'm so happy to hear you're enjoying the scans! I'm nearly done with the next chapter, so once I get some unfortunately backlogged work done on my RC job, I'll be right on finishing the chapter ^-^
